Our #1 Bad Breath Report To Eliminate Halitosis I guess this article would be classified as a review of the hydro floss oral irrigator based on personal observation and use.This device is something that should be discussed. At one point, my dentist and her assitant hygienist wanted to convince me that something had to be done about my gingivitis problems. They seemed very strong and even a bit forceful that I really needed this treatment. Their idea of a workable solution was something called a ‘Scaling and Root Planing’ treatment. This is also referred to as a SRP. This was less than exciting to hear. It just didn’t sound like it was something that I wanted to go through. The hygienist explained that she would delve down below my gums with strange sounding instruments that would permit her to remove the build up of calculus there. She would also smooth the surfaces under there to make it harder for it to return. This procedure appeared to be even worse than I first imagined. It was no comfort to hear her say that she could numb my gums up so that I wouldn’t feel a thing! At this point, I knew it was going to hurt whenever the medication wore off. This was not the kind of life experience that I would remember fondly. She explained that should I decide not to have this therapy, they could not be held accountable for what could happen to my teeth. I was asked to signify my understanding by signing a waiver that they had in the office. Could things get any worse? Candidly speaking, I imagined that I was becoming the victim of some slick marketing tactics. I really felt that this was some type of pushy marketing tactic. Eventually, the final issue appeared that pushed me ‘over the edge’ towards a decision. The hygienist told me that it would be best if they started today.She was interested in replacing my regular cleaning with this special treatment. The logic she used made sense. It sounded as if insurance was a big factor. Should I get the standard, regular cleaning procedure now, insurance might not be inclined to pay for the advanced one later. But, I felt in my heart, that this was something I would need time to ponder before committing to it. I felt strongly opposed to this for some reason, therefore I said, “no” to the treatment. Oddly enough, the waiver issue did not come up again. The entire predicament seemed very surreal to me.I knew there had to be a better way for my gums to be well again. I discovered that someone I knew had this procedure performed on her. She told me that she was unhappy with the outcome. I hunted around for a possible solution.I ran across the hydro floss irrigator. I sent away for one. I was very hopeful when the package was left on my doorstep. For some reason, they were supposed to send me a video with the HydroFloss but it was not to be found in the package. I contacted them and asked if them to send me the missing video.I did not have any more issues after that and shortly received the video in the mail.I was excited after the video. I really felt sure that this device was going to be useful. As a result, I utilized it several times per day. It was several months later when I went back to visit my dentist. I was delighted by the reaction from them. This was the same doctor and assistant that had looked at my gums previously. Each agreed that there was a vast improvement.They said that I would not need that scaling and root planing treatment afterall. You can probably understand that I was elated to hear this good news.
